Some of my greatest joys have come from small moments - like when a song plays and suddenly you feel it wrap around you. Not the big, fancy performances, but the ones that sneak up and somehow remind you who you are.

When I moved to Arrowtown, I didn't really expect how much life could slow down. This place has a way of making you feel at home. Time stretches and makes space for what matters - and yet, it's still quirky, and often surprises you.
I think that's where this all started.
The Backroom Set isn’t about a polished show - it’s about music that’s real, honest, and a little unexpected. Not just in what you hear, but in where you hear it. And it’s definitely not the kind that’s trying to please a crowd in a bar.
I wanted pop-up acoustic sets that bring people together - to connect with each other, and maybe even themselves.
